Great Service If You Plan To Play Hooky

Call-in-sick.com is a new service that allows you to leave a message for your boss (or whoever) and have it delivered at a specified time. The caller id on your bosses phone will even look like the call is coming from you. Now you can record and re-record you message as many times as necessary to REALLY sound sick!
The downside to this service: I can't use it! You can only use it to call direct numbers, and my boss has an extension, not a direct dial line :(

Call-in-Sick Guide

Before you use Call-in-Sick we do have some recommendations:

1. Test sending a message to your boss on employer with a simple message, such as "Hi this is Frank give me a call back". This will test their voicemail system and that messages will be successfully recorded. Once you've done that, you're good to go!

2. If you know you're going to take a "sicky" the next day, record your message when you're sober. There's nothing worse than a drunken call to your boss pretending you are sick. Record and schedule your message before you leave for the club.

3. Record your message with little to no background noise. You won't be convincing with loud music or friends yelling in the background.

4. Call-in-Sick will not work with in-direct phone numbers. You will need to know and call your boss's direct phone number.

5. Utilize the re-record feature to perfect your sick sounding voice and message.

6. Make sure you schedule the call early enough to avoid having anyone answer the phone. We suggest 5am is a good time to make the call. This also makes it look like you either made the effort to get up and call in, or you could just say you've been up all night to make it all that more convincing.

7. Sound effects are effective but don't overuse them. Test recording messages while repeatidly flushing the toilet.
